An introduction to some simple Glass Fusing techniques used to make your own unique jewellery

Stevie Davies has been a contemporary Glass artist for over 12 years, based at Banks Mill in Derby, her work has a focus on colour and texture.

After being taking through the process of cutting sheet glass safely, we will enjoy layering small pieces of coloured glass with copper elements and Dichroic sparkles. The aim for this workshop will be to create at least 3 items depending on your chosen designs and finishes. Materials included in the course fee will enable you to make a number of items such as pendants, stud earring, drops earrings, cufflinks, brooches and rings with standard findings.

More materials can be purchased to make more pieces on the day or if you have a particular love of sparkles and want to use large amounts, on average people spend an extra £5 on specialist materials, paid in cash at the end of the session.

Your work will be taken by Stevie to her studio to be fired, cleaned, finished so it is ready for you to wear (pendants will be ready for you to place on your chosen ribbon/chain) and then delivered back to The Making house for collection approximately 2/3 weeks after the workshop.
