£60.00

Embossed Metal Hook Board £60

Saturday 8th May, 10 - 4.30pm

Face to face in the garden workshop.

Our garden workshops will be limited to 5 people, there are 2 undercover spaces, allowing us to accommodate the group with excellent social distancing.

Due to the current situation dates may have to be changed, in the event of this happening we will postpone and offer a new date, however we will be more than happy to give a full refund if this is your preference.

Price includes all basic materials, but due to Covid I ask that you bring your own lunch.

Learn how to emboss metal and create a decorative hook board, candle sconce or simply a piece of art for your house.

This is a simple, effective and enjoyable technique for creating decorations for your home and even to adorn furniture. You’ll learn a variety of methods and tips for embossing metal and for mounting your work plus ideas for how you could take the technique further at home.

You don’t have to be an amazing artist, Anna can provide you with plenty of templates and inspiration sheets or you can, of course, create a design of your own. (Do bring along any ideas or inspirational photos).

- In the morning session you'll learn a variety of embossing techniques and be encouraged to experiment and create a series of samples, which you could use on cards or as mini artworks. Together we will then talk about design and planning for the final piece.

- In the afternoon we get serious and create your main piece. You will be guided through how best to create your design to get the best effect. We will talk about traditional patinas and also look at how to antique your work at home with basic materials. Finally it's time to edge and mount your work.

The workshop price includes all materials.

The workshop is delivered by Anna Roebuck from The Making House in Burton on Trent; Anna has been delivering specialist workshops for 18 years and will support you in creating your own amazing piece of artwork in a relaxed setting.

Please note: This is an embossed metal technique and not the same as the commercial Art Panels that I sell.
