Felt Landscape

Create a felt picture inspired by your own photos and memories or use one of Anna's images if you prefer.
At you will be given guidance on what picture to choose.
In the morning we will learn the basics of wet felting and create a base for your picture, exploring composition and how to build up your design with fibres. We'll then take your design a step further in the afternoon by needle felting in more detail, you'll be shown different ways to use your needles and fibres to create a variety of textures and foreground interest.
After booking Anna will ask you to email over a selection of images that you'd like to work on, she will guide you on what picture to choose and explain further on the day why that one will work well.
Our felting workshops are suitable for beginners or people wanting to develop their felting skills further. You will be clearly guided through the process and learn different felting techniques along the way, but do please remember it takes time to learn a skill!
Wet felting is a lovely technique suitable for all, but it can be hard work, you'll be using the hands, arms and wrists quite a bit, so please bear this in mind when booking.
Price includes all materials, refreshments and a homemade lunch.
