Saturday 8th March, 10.00 – 4.30, £65
Price includes all materials, refreshments and a simple home cooked lunch.
Join Rebecca for a full day exploring monoprinting techniques using a Gelliplate. You will spend the morning creating multiple pretty botanical prints using water based printing inks, rollers, various colours, stencils plus a range of flowers/ weeds/ grasses. Each process will be demonstrated and explained in detail, you will begin with the basics and then gradually work in several layers to produce your very own unique floral pieces.
In the afternoon you will make selections and assemble your prints into simple collages mounted in a small display book.
This workshop is suitable for those who have no previous experience of printmaking and also those who want to explore monoprinting techniques and expand their skills. All tools and materials will be provided on the day. All you need to bring is an openness to play and experiment.
Rebecca has been delivering printmaking workshops locally for eight years working with different community groups in Swadlincote and Burton. She loves working with a combination of natural elements and man-made stencils to create exciting monoprints and says, “ it always brings me joy to watch everyone’s first prints being revealed and I’m always inspired by the variety of magnificent prints produced by participants”.
