Wire Snowflakes and Wire Trees

Join Anna for a day of festive wirework; Learn various wire forming techniques and create wonderful everlasting snowflakes and winter trees.
We'll all start with learning the basic technique and do a little practise tree. We'll then go on to explore various techniques, making a mini garland and 2 or 3 small snowflakes in the morning.
In the afternoon we'll go bigger and create an aluminium winter tree, perfect for hanging mini baubles at Christmas time. (Or if you prefer you could make some more adventurous snowflakes).
(I'll also have a few wire packs for you to buy on the evening. Your handouts will guide you on how to make different styles so you can experiment at home and make lots more. You may even feel brave and want to make one of my big snowflakes from the comfort of your sofa).
The workshop is a nice way to learn basic metalwork and jewellery making skills. Please note though, the technique is repetitive, so it may be tiring on your hands, so please bare this in mind if you have any issues with hand strength.
The workshop is delivered by Anna Roebuck from The Making House in Burton on Trent; Anna has been delivering specialist workshops for over 18 years and will support you in creating your own amazing piece of artwork in a relaxed setting.
