Col's Crocheted Shawl

This shawl has been specially developed by Colleen Murdoch for this course at The Making House and features motifs such as butterflies and flowers.

This is a 6 week course running on Tuesday evenings, 6.30 - 9pm.

Tuesdays 24th September, 1st October, 8th October, 15th October, 22nd October, 29th October

This series of workshops is designed to move crocheters beyond granny squares and blankets. It is not suitable for total beginners.

Week by week you will learn to follow patterns and charts and to increase the variety of stitches that you use, resulting in a beautiful unique shawl.
In the first week a variety of yarns will be available for you to try, as well as hooks. Makers must then buy further yarn to complete their project. Around 300g of 4 ply will be enough to complete this project. Sample shawls in cotton, merino and acrylic will be available to help you decide.

Each week you will get a pattern sample, written pattern part and chart to help you complete each section of your shawl. Completion at home will be required.
In the final week there will be the opportunity to trouble shoot, explore ways to extend and adapt patterns and to have work photographed.
